Matters Worth Having a Conversation About:

Personal belongings do get left behind and forgotten at the Rec Centre. These items are typically kept on site and in a lost and found bin at the centre. However, we will not be responsible for lost items, therefore, we encourage parents and guardians to inventory your children’s belongings and request that they check out lost and found bin on a regular basis if they misplace clothing and personal items. The items will be brought out to Salvation Army quarterly.

Fitness room and equipment usage allows our users to work up a fantastic sweat! We would like to remind our patrons that they are responsible for cleaning equipment that they use and we do provide cleaning wipes and sprays. Please clean the equipment when you are done your workout.

Bullying incidents occur on a regular basis at the centre and the situations are dealt with on the spot when reported immediately. Parents are then contacted and updated on what took place and if any repercussions of the incident. There is a zero tolerance for bullying and the more serious matters result in a temporary ban from the facility.

For anyone wanting to volunteer time at the Rec Centre to work with a program and complete art’s and crafts, coach a team, or run a fitness program, please advise our staff so we can make arrangements. Please note, a criminal records check is required to volunteer time at our centre.
