CURRENT GOVERNMENT:
Today, the community of New Aiyansh operates under a Village Government format. Every four years our First Nations Local Government – along with the three other Nisga’a communities, three urban locals and Nisga’a Lisims Government – holds a general election.
Gitlaxt’aamiks Village Government has eight elected officials who represent the constituents of New Aiyansh. Our current members are:
